About the role

The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating conventional and CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision metal and non-metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in producing high-quality parts while maintaining safety, efficiency, and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Review blueprints, sketches, drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements and part specifications.
  • Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines to manufacture parts according to specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs.
  • Adjust machine controls, speeds, feeds, and cutting depths to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct test runs and troubleshoot machining issues to ensure proper machine performance.
  • Replace and install machine components and verify proper operation following maintenance or repairs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, supervisors, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve processes.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Follow all quality standards related to our Quality Management System (QMS), ISO requirements, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • GED or High School diploma
  • Previous CNC machining, manual machining, manufacturing, technical training, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.

  • 1st & 2nd Shift
  • 4-Day Work Week: 10 hour Shifts

Pay

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus
