CNC Machinist

About the role

We are seeking a talented CNC Machinist to contribute to the success of the company by manufacturing parts according to drawings, maintaining raw material inventory in accordance with inventory control policies, and maintaining machinery through proper preventative maintenance. Responsibilities

• Operate and program Haas CNC mill and lathe machines safely and productively.
• Plan machining by studying detailed and complex blueprints and work orders; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD & T).
• Download and edit programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
• Calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; prove part programs.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.
• Partner with engineering on R&D projects.
• Maintain quality control through inspections.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in a custom machine shop environment.
• Experience running Haas CNC equipment preferred but not required.
• Excellent safety practices and mindset.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and engage in multiple jobs simultaneously.
• Ability to read machine drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to take direction and follow through with assignments.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and maintain good attendance.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to perform set-ups and produce quality parts from drawings with minimal supervision.
