Responsibilities
- Set up the machine to produce components (tooling and work holding).
- Edit programs as necessary to work with the set up and tooling selection.
- Understand PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) to produce a smooth defect-free surface.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Use all measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Troubleshoot machine issues.
- Apply G-code and M-code fundamentals.
- Read and troubleshoot existing CNC programs.
Requirements
- CNC machine set-up (tooling and work holding).
- Blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Tooling offsets and some program editing.
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, depth micrometers, height stands, and other precision measuring tools.
- Haas mill and Okuma mill turn experience a plus.
- Mastercam experience a plus.
Pay
$22.00–$26.00 per hour.
