CNC Machinist

Position Description

• Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to determine precise dimensions and tolerance requirements
• Operate a variety of machine shop equipment to fabricate precision components
• Optimize machining workflows by selecting the most effective and efficient methods for each specific machine
• Select appropriate cutting tools and materials based on product specifications and hardness
• Calibrate machining parameters, including speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, to maximize tool life and finish quality
• Execute rigorous dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure 100% compliance with customer requirements
• Document production data and quality metrics accurately into the company database
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols to prevent accidents and asset damage

Work Environment

• Machine shop environment
• Exposure to airborne particles, metal shavings, sharp cutting tools, and moving mechanical parts
• PPE and hearing protection required at all times

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, or bend
• Lift items up to 50 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required

Education & Experience

• Mandatory: High School diploma or equivalent education
• Mandatory: Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in a professional machine shop
• Desirable: Technical certification or vocational training in Machining Technology
