Essential Functions The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components. The CNC Machinist will be working with a range of materials, following blueprints, and ensuring that products are machined to specifications. Specific machines include Mazak, Haas and DoosanSetup CNC machines, including loading materials, inputting programs, and ensuring proper dimensionsReview and interpret blueprints, sketches, or other technical drawings to understand the dimensional specifications and requirements for each jobOperate CNC machines to perform machining operations, such as turning, milling, drilling, and cuttingMonitor machine operation, making any necessary adjustments to ensure the quality and accuracy of the finished productInspect finished components to ensure they meet the required tolerances and quality standardsTroubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining processPerform routine maintenance on machines, such as lubricating and cleaningAdhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area Education And Experience Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC MachinistProficiency in programming languages such as G-codeAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsExperience in operating CNC machines, knowledge of various machining techniquesStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with tooling and cutting techniquesDetail-oriented with a focus on precision and qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent time management skills and ability to prioritize workload effectively Work Environment/Physical Demands Standing or walking for long periods of timeUse arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objectsLift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 pounds with assistanceMust be able to work indoors and outdoors including times of inclement weather IMI maintains a Drug-Free Workplace in compliance with federal/state regulations.
