CNC Machinist

ISSI, a machine shop and engineering firm on the southwest side of Indianapolis, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. This role involves manufacturing production parts on Haas VF3, Okuma lathes, and Makino 4 axis and 5 axis mills.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines using provided setup sheets and tooling definitions.
• Prove out programs, verify correct operation, and make necessary tool or offset adjustments during production.
• Maintain tooling and ensure proper machine function throughout the job run.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using Zeiss CMM or surface plate with appropriate gages and measurement tools.
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and ensure all inspection documentation is accurate and complete.
• Follow and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all parts meet print specifications.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, and productive shop environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of machining experience.
• Own basic machinist tools.
• Communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
