Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate Haas CNC Milling machines, as well as manual lathes and mills, for production parts.
- Monitor machine operations to detect defects and ensure quality standards are met.
- Measure workpiece dimensions to verify accuracy and quality of output.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and documentation to determine tooling and material requirements.
- Maintain and clean machinery and equipment according to schedule and as needed.
- Keep work area organized and report any equipment or process issues to the lead machinist, supervisor, or maintenance department.
- Use time efficiently to meet production deadlines and communicate any barriers to timely completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support team and production goals.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience as a machinist, preferably in a job shop environment.
- Proficiency in operating both manual and CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including safety rules and work instructions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, accept feedback, contribute ideas, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
