About the role

Fogg Filler is seeking a talented, team-oriented CNC Machinist for their Holland, MI location to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision Fogg parts in a timely manner.

• Read and understand blueprints for part specifications, such as dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.
• Apply programmer instructions, including setup sheets, stock notes, and tooling requirements.
• Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures based on programmers' directions.
• Set up and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes (Haas mills, Doosan lathes).
• Machine parts to specifications on detail prints provided or as instructed.
• Set up tooling, work pieces, and fixtures as directed.
• Use measuring equipment common to the machinist’s trade (calipers, micrometers, height gage, profilometers, etc.).
• Record set-up and run time through ERP system for tracking of time on all jobs.
• Monitor due dates and complete all work as scheduled.
• Deliver parts to other departments in the plant as necessary.
• Deliver clear and concise verbal and written information to team members as needed.
• Work and cross-train on various positions or equipment as required.
• Inspect your own work as well as others’ as needed.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of work area by performing housekeeping duties daily, including trash, coolant, and work area maintenance.

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Machining experience preferred.
• Experience with SolidWorks and Mastercam preferred.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Punctuality and attendance are imperative.
• Proficient at critical thinking and problem solving.
• Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic.
• Willing to work overtime as required.
