CNC Machinist
Key Responsibilities
Operate mill, lathe, drill press, CNC machine, and other equipment.
Modify existing CNC programs as needed.
Write basic CNC programs.
Perform defined set-up and change overs.
Establish tool set-ups.
Education & Experience
A high school diploma or GED is preferred. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of a diploma.
Five years or more CNC Machining experience is required.
Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Advanced mathematical skills.
- Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers etc).
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of G & M code.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret prints, documents and other instructions.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to share knowledge.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing environment.
Frequent standing and walking required.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
