CNC Machinist

Schedule
This is a second-shift position with flexible scheduling options (e.g., four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days). Shifts are scheduled between 3:00 PM and 1:00 AM, with flexibility in start and end times (manager approval required). Overtime opportunities may be available. New employees will complete an initial training period of up to two months on the first shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines and conventional manual machining equipment to produce quality components.
- Perform standard machine setups using established work instructions and documented procedures.
- Run existing CNC programs and make routine tool offset adjustments as required.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on all shop equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of CNC Machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Fundamental understanding of machining principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Ability to work independently after training while recognizing when assistance is needed.
- Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to work onsite at our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Completion of a machining, manufacturing, or technical education program.
- Familiarity with a Haas VF series VMC.
- Exposure to aluminum machining.
- Familiarity with core GD&T concepts.
