CNC Machinist

About the role

The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.

Responsibilities

• Download programs and MDI (Manual Data Input) as needed
• Ability to perform your own programming and running your details
• Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required
• Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results
• Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration
• Keep work area clean
• Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management
• Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours

Requirements

• Experience with using Work NC software
• A well-rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds
• Candidate must have high school or equivalent education
• Candidate must have valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Candidate must have full use of all limbs
• Candidate must be able to read and speak English
• Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds
