CNC Machinist

CTR Group is seeking experienced CNC Machinists in Mobile, AL for immediate openings.

About the role

Support precision manufacturing operations by setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills/lathes to produce parts to blueprint requirements
• Load materials, adjust tooling, and verify machine settings before production runs
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools
• Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and machining instructions
• Monitor machine performance and make minor offsets or adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all shop safety procedures
• Collaborate with supervisors and weld/fab teams to ensure production accuracy and efficiency

Requirements

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools
• Familiarity with G-code, basic programming edits, and machine offsets
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with both mills and lathes
• Background in metal fabrication or custom job-shop work
