CNC Machinist

About the role

This role involves setting up and operating various numerical control machines to perform complex machining operations to exact tolerances. The position requires interpreting technical specifications, using precision measuring instruments, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal, multi-joint, or vertical numerical control machines.
• Perform machining operations such as compound angles, contours, boring, helical and spiral milling, serrating, and gear cutting.
• Select, mount, and align specialized machine attachments and tooling.
• Follow operational sequences, determine cuts required, and establish setup methods.
• Set and monitor machine speeds and feeds.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with control procedures.
• Oversee automated systems and robotic assembly lines.
• Maintain daily logs of machine performance, downtime, and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• This position requires 6 months of additional education and/or related experience, including experience with robotics and CNC Machining.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, preset torque tools, reference inspection gauges, and dial indicators is necessary.

Qualifications

• Formal CNC Machining Certificate preferred.

Pay

The pay for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Candidates must have the ability to work a 3/10 schedule and the second shift.
