Responsibilities
- Machine new and repair part products to print specifications
- Perform operational functions of CNC machines and maintain proper maintenance of machine equipment
- Read blueprints, sketches, machine parts, or specifications to determine type and dimensions of stock required
- Observe machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements
- Maintain a safe work environment and keep work area clean and organized
- Conduct all business activities in accordance with company code of conduct, policies and procedures, and all applicable legal requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in CNC and manual machining (proficient in lathes, vertical mills, horizontal mills, key setters, grinding)
- Ability to apply basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, work orders, and drawings
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math and basic PC skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate
- Ability to follow directions and procedures
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools at a speed necessary for successful job performance
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, climbing
- Moving, carrying, lifting objects in excess of 50 lbs
- Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
- Work in both cold and hot climates
- Work in or near industrial hazards
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule in order to meet demands of the role
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
