CNC Machinist - 1st Shift - Starting at $18/HR

Schedule

Four 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday (three day weekends!). Occasional weekend overtime depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the CNC machines to their full capacity by following the CNC Schedule
• Retrieving raw materials, completing machine setups and running provided programs
• Reviewing blueprints, drawings, specifications prior to starting to machine to ensure accuracy
• Operating a forklift safely and overhead crane while maintaining all safety guidelines
• Determining the tools necessary to complete jobs per customer specifications
• Modifying machine speed, tooling, cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of job
• Working independently with minimal guidance on operational and technical challenges
• Concentrating for extended periods of time, paying close attention to detail
• Performing daily, weekly and monthly PM tasks to ensure machine longevity, as needed
• Other Job Duties As Assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience with CNC machines is a bonus - we can also teach you if you are a recent graduate from a trade/technical school
• Forklift experience
• Basic Math Skills Required

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Stand for long periods of time on a concrete floor
• Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment exposed to forklift, machining, and potentially other loud noises
• Hear and/or see the machine alarms; abilities required include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Must be able to wear all necessary PPE such as steel toed boots, safety glasses, etc.
• Physical stamina and proper use and alignment of material and machinery set-up / changeover
