About the role
Ellis Machinery & Equipment is expanding its service group in Washington and Oregon, seeking a dedicated CNC Field Service Engineer to deliver top-tier installation, maintenance, and repair services to valued customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installations, preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC Machine Tools, including diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently, minimizing downtime for customers.
- Provide training and technical support to clients, ensuring optimal machine performance and safety.
- Document service activities, parts usage, and recommendations in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to identify opportunities and continuous improvements.
- Adhere to company and industry safety standards.
- Travel within Oregon and occasionally beyond to customer sites.
Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years as a Field Service Engineer or Technician working with CNC Machines.
- (Working with Makino, YCM, Fanuc preferred).
- Knowledge of CNC programming, PLC's, servo drives, and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read blueprints, schematics and use diagnostic tools.
- Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
- Must have a US Passport or equivalent.
- Must have your own reliable transportation and willing to travel local/regional.
- Must be able to safely lift to 50lbs.
Benefits
- Competitive Salary: $80,000 - $100,000.+ (DOE)
