CNC Machine Operator I Second Shift

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machine according to established procedures to drill and mill required materials.
• Verify machined parts conform to specifications using a light source or drawing.
• Maintain coolant levels and CNC tooling.
• Perform Quality Control on first articles and in-process parts.
• Measure parts using micrometers and calipers.
• Work well with others.
• Work scheduled shifts and meet company attendance requirements.
• Be flexible to work late or modify work hours as needed due to production deadlines.
• Work safely and comply with company safety rules and procedures.
• Practice the 5 S’s of lean philosophy on a daily basis.

Additional Duties, as assigned

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance.
• Typical qualifications include good verbal and written English communication skills, neat penmanship for completing Manufacturing Plans and inventory logs, familiarity with inspection hand tools (micrometer, caliper), high school diploma or GED, one year experience as a machine operator, ability to be detail oriented and multi-task, and ability to organize work to optimize efficiency.
