CNC Machine Operator

Position Summary

Essential Duties And Other Responsibilities

• Productively set up and operate the NC LVD press, NC fabrication, Wiedermann, 647 and 3700 Whitney (NC and CNC equipment)
• Perform in-process and final inspection of product using various measuring instruments
• Edit programs as needed
• Sharpen punches/dies for above equipment as required throughout the process

Qualifications

• Successful completion of appropriate technical education, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints including geometric dimensioning
• Intermediate Shop Math
• Ability to do basic data entry

Physical Demands

• Medium work - Lifting up to 50 pounds, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of constantly to move objects
• Moving over 50 pounds requires a lifting device or team lift

Work Environment

• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• The employee works in a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant.
• Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 AM 5-PM (may vary by area in department).
• Job requires overtime.
• Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
