About the role

This position requires a combination of technical skills and physical stamina.

Responsibilities

  • Review work orders and use material handling equipment to obtain materials.
  • Verify material to order and enter into computer system.
  • Instrumentally start machine and set up production line.
  • Charge material through machine using hand controls.
  • Maintain production and quality standards by measuring and verifying before, during, and after processing.
  • Use micrometers or calipers to check and record gauge width, hardness, burr, and surface condition.
  • Document machine mechanical problems and understand and document material defects.
  • Data entry and reconcile production as needed.
  • Adjust machine setup to correct defects as needed throughout the process.
  • Remove scrap from machine and empty hoppers as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • One (1) to three (3) years' experience operating CNC machines is required.
  • Available to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.

Qualifications

  • Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Have computer skills, including data entry.
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Perform basic visual quality inspections on products.
  • Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties.
  • Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklifts and overhead cranes.
