CNC Machine Operator 2 (Machine Shop)

About the role

This position involves operating CNC equipment, performing various machining operations, and adhering to internal and third-party specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment and various machining operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc.)
• Use tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to perform operations with close tolerances and fine finishes
• Perform tool offsets and load parts
• Work according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements
• Participate in and support team initiatives
• Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE), safety equipment, and follow safety procedures
• Report problems to appropriate resources and/or coaches
• Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products
• Participate in and support team initiatives
• Receive guidance from experienced employees
• Understand and abide by GE behaviors

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency
• 1 year of machine shop operations experience
• Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
• Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices
• Basic understanding of mathematical principles

• 1-3 years’ machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands

• Continuous use of hands and fingers in repetition
• Sit continuously
• Bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and balance occasionally
• Lift up to 20 lbs and push/pull up to 22 lbs occasionally

Pay

The pay for this position is $23/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.
