About the role
This position involves operating CNC equipment, performing various machining operations, and adhering to internal and third-party specifications.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC equipment and various machining operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc.)
- Use tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to perform operations with close tolerances and fine finishes
- Perform tool offsets and load parts
- Work according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements
- Participate in and support team initiatives
- Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE), safety equipment, and follow safety procedures
- Report problems to appropriate resources and/or coaches
- Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products
- Participate in and support team initiatives
- Receive guidance from experienced employees
- Understand and abide by GE behaviors
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- 1 year of machine shop operations experience
- Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation
- Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices
- Basic understanding of mathematical principles

- 1-3 years’ machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands
- Continuous use of hands and fingers in repetition
- Sit continuously

- Lift up to 20 lbs and push/pull up to 22 lbs occasionally
Pay
The pay for this position is $23/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.
