CNC Lead - Programmer/Machinist

Independence Tooling is actively seeking a CNC Lead to join our team! Responsibilities Serve as Lead in the CNC Department Mentor, Lead and Supervise other machinistsProduce machined parts by setting up, and operating a mill and/or computer numerical control (CNC) machinePlan machining by studying work orders and blueprintsSet up mills by tramming/indicating vices and/or work materialMaintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsMaintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirementsMaintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needsDevelop instructions for CNC TechniciansReview 3D CAD designDetermine steps for programming including where materials should be cutConvert instructions into a computer-automated manufacturing (CAM) programDetermine job order and perform associated calculationsCompose programs and revise existing ones for increased efficiency Qualifications Proven leadership experience in a CNC environment2+ years of experience programming in WorkNCExperience with CNC machining and programmingExperience running a 5-axis machineFamiliarity with Fanuc or Fadal controllersAbility to prioritize tasks & delegate them when appropriate Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, automotive, or defense is a plusExperience running a 3+2 axis machineExperience running a Haas, Doosan, or Hermle Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceVacation and Holiday payEmployer matching 401KHybrid work schedule after 90 days for eligible positionsTuition ReimbursementFlexible Spending Programs (FSAs)Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insuranceEmployee Referral ProgramAdditional Voluntary Benefit ProgramsOff-site company events & Employee Luncheons Who are we?
