CNC Lead - Production Manufacturing

About the role

Lead the CNC operations at Balanced Body®, the world’s largest designer and manufacturer of Pilates equipment. This role blends hands-on CNC/Robot programming with people leadership—you’ll keep machines running smoothly, mentor your crew, and help shape products that impact lives in over 100 countries. Partner with your supervisor to set and achieve production goals, drive efficiency, and maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship and safety.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to person for Robot/CNC operations, ensuring machines are optimized and running efficiently.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a team, including conducting performance reviews and corrective action with HR support.
• Program and operate CNC/Robot machines (Maestro experience is a plus).
• Manage production planning using Business Central (BC), logging completions accurately and maintaining tight inventory control.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and workflow without compromising quality.
• Participate in hiring, including interviews to select new team members.
• Enforce and model safe woodworking practices, ensuring a culture of safety on the production floor.
• Operate tools such as saws, sanders, routers, grinders, and battery-powered drills with a focus on quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience operating and programming CNC/Robot machines.
• 3+ years in a leadership role, ideally leading CNC teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strategic, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically capable of standing for 8+ hours, reaching, carrying, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Safety-first mindset with a commitment to following procedures and participating in safety training.
• Self-motivated, positive, and consistent with a strong attendance record.
