CNC Lathe Operator

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality control by checking product dimensions using appropriate equipment.
• Operate CNC lathes according to engineering drawings and department standards.
• Set up CNC lathes including workholding, tool-kitting, tool offsetting, and first article approval.
• Utilize a pre-setter offline for tool offsets and perform quick-change tooling operations.
• Program and utilize macro commands in Mastercam or similar software.
• Use basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, comparators, and perform necessary calculations.
• Comply with safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of CNC lathe operation experience.
• Proficiency in setting up CNC lathes, including workholding, tool-kitting, tool offsetting, and first article approval on FANUC controls.
• Experience with utilizing a pre-setter offline for tool offsets.
• Experience with quick change tooling.
• Knowledge of macro programming and proficiency in Mastercam or other major programming software.
• Basic understanding of measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and mathematical skills.
• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will be part of a team in Fullerton, CA, responsible for manufacturing products in accordance with engineering drawings. Your responsibilities include maintaining quality control, setting up CNC lathes, utilizing tooling, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
