Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Select tooling and make machine offsets as required.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining and quality issues.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Learn CNC programming concepts and techniques through company-provided training.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience (or equivalent experience).
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Desire to develop into a CNC Programmer.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience editing CNC programs at the machine.
- Familiarity with G-code and M-code.
- Multi-axis machining experience.
- Experience with CAM software.
