CNC Lathe Machinist

About the role

CNC Lathe Operator responsible for manufacturing parts according to specifications with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Set up, edit, and operate CNC lathes
• Inspect finished parts for quality
• Perform minor machine maintenance
• Maintain a clean work area
• Manage tooling and inspection equipment

Qualifications

• Proficiency with hand measuring tools
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Experience with CNC programming (Fanuc, G-code, M-code)
• Mechanical aptitude and prior machinist experience are advantageous

Skills

• Adjusting machine offsets
• Trueing jaws
• Understanding bore gauges and threading
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Multi-tasking and communicating effectively across organizational levels
• Working overtime as needed
• Experience with multi-axis machines (2 or 4-axis), tail stock, steady rests, and specific machine brands is preferred

Physical Demands

• Regular standing and sitting
• Manual handling and visual acuity
• Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
• Frequently lifting 25 pounds
