We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented CNC Laser-Turret Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines to ensure high-precision production. We are looking for a results-driven individual who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and maintaining a safe, efficient workspace.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Range: $20.00-31.00 per hour (Starting rate commensurate with experience)
- Shift: Weekend Shift- Friday-Sunday | 6:00A-6:30P | 3-Day Work Week work 36 hours/paid for 40 + $1.50/hr. shift differential
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Load and edit CNC programs; set machines for full cycles to fabricate large batches of parts according to specifications.
- Material Handling: Load sheet metal into bays and safely use a forklift to move materials and completed parts.
- Quality Control: Perform first-part and random inspections using calipers, gauges, and tape measures to ensure 100% conformity to prints.
- Production Maintenance: Monitor cutting quality and adjust feed rates or machine settings in real-time to optimize results.
- Equipment Care: Perform daily maintenance (nozzle centering, window cleaning, dust bin removal) and advanced troubleshooting (optical path realignment, pneumatic/hydraulic checks) for Class A operators.
- Post-Processing: Separate and "pick" parts from skeletons, stack them systematically, and package finished goods using banding or shrink wrap.
Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficient in reading mechanical drawings/blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
- Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Operator (Laser experience preferred).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and remain active in a manufacturing environment.
- Aptitude: Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and solid shop math.
- Certifications: Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills for program loading and data entry.
- A "keen eye" for detail and a results-driven approach.
- A commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.
- The ability to work independently while supervising automated machine cycles.
