CNC Laser Operator

About the role

Opti Staffing is partnering with a growing metal fabrication company specializing in structural fabrication and precision-built components. This team is known for producing high-quality work, maintaining strong safety standards, and delivering projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laser cutting equipment for structural fabrication projects
• Work with steel and other fabrication materials to produce precision-cut components
• Identify and load proper materials for each production job
• Read and interpret blueprints, cut sheets, and production drawings
• Ensure all finished parts meet exact quality and dimensional standards
• Support production deadlines while maintaining safety and efficiency
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and productive shop environment

Requirements

• Prior experience operating a laser, high-definition plasma table, or burn table
• Understanding of structural steel and fabrication materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven fabrication shop
• Dependable attendance
• Safety-conscious mindset
• Ability to work swing shift consistently

Skills

• Structural steel or metal fabrication experience (preferred)
• Additional CNC or fabrication background (preferred)
• Experience with production tracking systems (preferred)
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus (preferred)

Pay

$22-$25/hr DOE

Full-Time | Swing Shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM) | Monday-Friday
