CNC Horizontal Mill Experienced Machine Operators-Weekend Day Shift

Position Summary

Produces machined parts by operating a Milling computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; and maintaining equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Inspect products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet specifications, complying with established standards and methods for inspection, testing, evaluation and calibration.
• Follow all job work order instructions.
• Run more than one machine where cycle time permits.
• Complete all required shop floor documentation for the job, including both part‑dimensional and visual inspection.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and reporting to management/maintenance the need for machine repairs.
• Understand and comply with company policy, safety guidelines, quality systems requirements, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Machine Tool Technology degree (completed or pursuing).
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience operating a CNC mill machine.
• U.S. person status required by ITAR (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee).

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Continuous mental and visual attention required.
• Ability to stand for a shift, sit, talk and hear frequently.
• Lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Exposure to manufacturing areas where temperature may vary; personal protective equipment required.

Pay

Competitive rates of $24.00–$34.50 per hour depending on experience, plus a 15 % shift differential.
