CNC Grinding Technician

About the role

We are looking for a CNC Grinding Technician to join our production team within the Grinding department at our Bradford site. This role is ideal for a skilled precision engineer who takes pride in producing high-quality components and understands the importance of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.

As a CNC Grinding Technician, you’ll operate manual surface grinding machines and semi-automatic grinding equipment to manufacture components to exacting specifications. You’ll check size and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring components meet quality requirements both during production and on completion.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual surface grinding machines and semi-automatic grinding equipment.
• Check size and accuracy of components during and after production.
• Complete all required paperwork and follow shop floor SOPs to support traceability and consistency.
• Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to deliver work efficiently and safely.
• Carry out minor machine maintenance and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Ensure all safety devices and PPE requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Support the smooth running of the shop floor as part of the wider production team.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar high-precision machining environment.
• Proven ability to operate manual surface grinding and semi-automatic grinding machines.
• Knowledge of CNC cylindrical grinding machines is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and develop further skills.
• Precision engineering background and mechanical engineering education.
