CNC Field Service Engineer, AL

About the role

The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial part in maintaining CNC machinery for our customers, ensuring their operations remain uninterrupted.

Responsibilities

• Install new or modified equipment at customer facilities and verify its proper functioning.
• Analyze, review, and inspect findings to identify the root cause of problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with factory or internal service support to expedite repairs and resolve issues.
• Provide on-site technical assistance to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Update and complete service reports accurately and comprehensively.
• Offer feedback to the factory to improve service procedures and troubleshoot methods.
• Communicate effectively with customers to ensure they receive top-notch service.
• Train customers and team members on safe equipment operation and demonstrate skills.

Requirements

• Experience with maintenance on CNC machines.
• Valid driver's license.
• A high mechanical aptitude with some electrical knowledge.
• Good communication skills and professional demeanor when dealing with customers.
• Ability to manage expenses and paperwork related to maintenance.
• 80% road travel required.

Benefits

Competitive compensation range: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.

Pay

$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.

Schedule

80% road travel, occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

Must be able to travel up to 80% of the week with possible overnight stays.
