About the role

The Field Service Engineer plays a crucial part in maintaining CNC machinery for our customers, ensuring their operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Install new or modified equipment at the customer’s facility and ensure full functionality according to specifications
  • Analyze, review, and inspect findings to determine the source of problems, and recommend repair, replacement, or other corrective actions
  • Coordinate problem resolution with factory or Phillips inside service support to expedite repairs
  • Provide on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Update and complete current incomplete service reports to reflect accurately and completely the work performed
  • Provide feedback to the factory to help update and make changes to the service procedure used in troubleshooting and completing repairs to the machine in the field
  • Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer
  • Conduct training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrate skills to trainees, including both team members and customers

Requirements

  • Experience with maintenance on CNC machines
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A high mechanical aptitude with some electrical knowledge
  • Good communication skills and ability to deal with customers professionally
  • Ability to keep track of expenses and manage paperwork relating to maintenance completed

Benefits

  • 80% road travel required

Pay

The expected pay range for a qualified person in this role is between $55,000.00 and $75,000.00 per year.

Schedule

This role requires significant road travel, with possible overnight stays.
