The company executes its Built to Make You Better brand promise for all stakeholders. The position involves regrinding, reconditioning, and/or manufacturing cutting tools per instructions.

Responsibilities

• Grind tools per work instructions
• Inspect tools per print
• Setup machine before starting work order instructions
• Return tooling to proper location after completion of work order instruction
• Train others as needed
• Report & communicate on a daily basis to Shop Supervisor
• Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC's vision and unity of purpose.
• Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Basic math skills

Skills

• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to inspect tools per print
• Ability to read work order instructions
• Ability to train others

Other Requirements

• Stationed in the shop approximately 95% of working time
• Occasional overtime hours required
• Work in a fast past environment
• Work under deadlines
• Safety hazards: Minimal hazards. General shop working conditions.
• Required training: 8 weeks on-site job training with other Tru‑Edge associate – work 100% checked
• Safety training (to be completed in the first 6 months):
  • General Safety Plan
  • Emergency Action Plan
  • Fire Safety Plan

Pay

Compensation starts at $20.00–$28.77 per hour, depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range is based on similar roles in comparable industries and local cost of labor; actual compensation reflects the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and peer pay equity. MSC reserves the right to adjust the range as market conditions change.
