CNC Applications Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands-on CNC Applications Engineer to support machine installations, customer training, and process optimization, with up to 70% travel.

Responsibilities

• Installing, commissioning, and supporting CNC grinding machines at customer sites.
• Developing and optimizing grinding applications and machining processes tailored to customer needs.
• Providing operator training and technical instruction on machine operation and programming.
• Conducting machine demonstrations and proving operations.
• Troubleshooting machine, process, and application issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Assisting in preparing technical proposals, time studies, and documentation to support sales.
• Documenting processes and expanding technical expertise through hands-on experience and training.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with CNC machine tools, including programming, applications, installation, or training.
• Preference for CNC grinding or precision machining exposure.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with shop equipment and measurement tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and develop practical solutions independently.
• Effective communication skills for technical presentations and customer training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business software.
• Capability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with time studies and process documentation is advantageous.
