About Us

Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a family-owned business since 1955, was purchased in partnership by Eastern Maine Health Systems and First Atlantic Healthcare in 2013. We have offered quality care to the elderly in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, and surrounding communities since our modern 93-bed facility opened in 1972. Under the ownership of First Atlantic Healthcare, we continue their long-standing reputation for excellence in long-term care.

Schedule

An every-weekend scheduling option is available to newly hired CNAs in the Nursing department on a limited basis. Employees must commit to the program for twenty-six (26) consecutive weekends (six months). During this period, you will be scheduled to work a minimum of three (3) twelve (12)-hour shifts or two (2) sixteen (16)-hour shifts per weekend. The "weekend" is defined as beginning Friday at 6:30 AM and ending Monday at 7:00 PM.

Pay

A premium differential of $3.00 per hour will be paid for hours actually worked within the defined weekend time. This premium is in addition to any other weekend differentials.

Responsibilities

• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary, and ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assists with showering/bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs.
• Provides patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations to nursing supervisor.
• Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping patient information confidential.
• Serves and protects the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure.
• Enhances nursing department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and listed on the Maine CNA Registry.
• Able to work scheduled shifts, committing to being there for your team and residents.
• Must be able to interact with our computer-based Electronic Medical Record system.
