About the role
The Student Nursing Assistant is a student currently enrolled in a Providence Nursing Assistant Training program. Functions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Designee and within the scope of practice that the supervising manager or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the skills of the Student Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Functions under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager or Designee and within the scope of practice that the supervising manager or designee has determined is appropriate based upon the skills of the Student Nursing Assistant.
- Performs a variety of tasks to ensure that the assigned patient(s) remains safe. This may include close, continuous observation to maintain patient safety, comfort, and a safe patient care environment.
- Delegates basic patient care tasks by the Registered Nurse, Nurse Manger and or Delegate.
- Documents all patient observation and care activities.
- Performs non-direct patient care duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Must complete at least two months of successful employment and be in good standing to be accepted into the NAC Training Program.
