Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• CNA‑Certified Nurses Assistant
• CPR – American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
• Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho‑social needs of patients

Pay

Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position. Shift Differentials Weekend: $1.75/hour. SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE! $1,200 Sign On Bonus with a 1-year work commitment. Must be of legal age to sign a contract, which is at least 18 years old, to be eligible for a sign on bonus. Candidates under 18 years old may still be considered for the position but are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.
