About the role

As a Permanent CNA in the Acute Medsurgical department, you will be a vital member of our healthcare team, providing essential support to our patients during their recovery journey. This is a dynamic role that requires a strong commitment to patient safety, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of medical documentation processes. Our ideal candidate is a compassionate, skilled professional with 2+ years of experience in a similar role and a strong commitment to providing outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring patient safety and implementing fall prevention measures.
  • Providing support to patients in their daily activities (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, eating, and moving.
  • Prioritizing and responding to patient call lights in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Addressing any patient concerns or complaints, and implementing service recovery measures when necessary.
  • Documenting patient interactions and medical information accurately and efficiently, with a strong familiarity with flowsheet documentation.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, always respecting patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA or in a similar role.
  • A current CNA certification.
  • Proven experience in patient safety awareness and fall prevention.
  • Experience in supporting patients with their ADLs.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and respond to call lights effectively.
  • Experience in service recovery and handling patient complaints.
  • Strong documentation skills, with familiarity in using flowsheet documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
