CNA Restorative
Job Summary
Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join their supportive team. The ideal candidate will report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to deliver appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
About the Role
This position offers full restorative training provided onsite. No prior restorative experience is required, but a CNA certification is mandatory. Exclusive restorative responsibilities include ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care, with minimal involvement in less desirable tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
- Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
- Exclusive restorative responsibilities such as ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area.
- Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations.
