CNA Restorative

About the role

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join their supportive team. This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and works exclusively with the therapy team.

Responsibilities

• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of restorative care techniques.
• Ability to train and instruct patients in wellness and fitness programs.
• Experience with senior populations.
