Responsibilities
- Assists with instrumental activities of daily living
- Affords assistance with medication reminders, treatments, and other care
- Encourages self-care and independence
- Sets up, serves meals, and cleans up afterwards
- Assists with moving Residents in and out as assigned
- Performs laundry service
- Demonstrates knowledge and follows infection control procedures
- Maintains a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe environment for Residents, staff, and visitors
Qualifications
- A strong desire to help others and compassion for the elderly is a must
- A high school diploma
- At least one year of experience with a CNA certification preferred
- Mandatory: Full criminal background check, fingerprinting, physical, drug test, and TB testing
- Alzheimer’s and Dementia training preferred, but not required
