About the role

You will provide assistance with daily activities and ensure a structured routine that includes house meetings, individual community outings, meal preparation, assistance with activities of daily living, personal care, family visitation facilitation, and medication distribution while maintaining human rights at all times. This position will implement Positive Behavior Support and individualized programs as identified in Individual Service Plans. At times, de-escalation and crisis management techniques may be required to maintain the safety of others.

As a Direct Care Professional, you will provide opportunities for individuals to integrate into the community and enjoy outings that interest them. Examples of some outings are the movies, shopping, going to dinner, baseball games, and bowling.

Responsibilities

• Distribute medication while maintaining human rights
• Implement Positive Behavior Support and individualized programs
• Use de-escalation and crisis management techniques as needed

Requirements

• Valid Massachusetts C.N.A. License
• Compassionate personality with a desire to make a difference
• Qualifying criminal background check and driving record
• Valid driver’s license
• TB screening and physical required upon hire; TB update every two years thereafter
