About the role
Part-time position, 24 hours per week on a rotating schedule:
- Week one: Sunday, Monday, and Friday
- Week two: Monday, Friday, and Saturday
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Pay
Starting pay: $20.50–$24 per hour, plus shift and weekend differentials.

Responsibilities
- Assist residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
- Administer treatments, perform tests, carry out procedures, and collect specimens as instructed.
- Report and record observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
- Transfer, transport, and escort residents as needed.
- Answer signal lights promptly.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and keep rooms clean and orderly.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a State-approved nursing assistant training program.
- Registration with the State of Connecticut registry required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience preferred.
- Ability to legibly track and document care given to each resident.
