CNA/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice - Float Pool (Nights)

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Nursing Assistant/Nurse Apprentice to join the Clinical Float Pool. This role supports multiple hospital units, requiring flexibility, a problem-solving attitude, and a willingness to take on daily challenges.

About the role

You will support clinical staff by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination duties, as well as providing nursing care and non-professional services to ensure patient comfort and personal needs are met. Work is performed under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour shifts per week: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Must be flexible to work varied schedules, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination at the unit level
• Provide nursing care and non-professional services to meet patients' personal needs and comfort
• Demonstrate competency in caring for all assigned age groups (neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric)

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR completion of the Trinity Health Nursing Assistant Program
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network (required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk)
• Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred
