About the role
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the patient during the scheduled work period. The NA provides patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patient under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities; bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs
- Administer delegated tasks and treatments
- Record vital statistics and other basic health information
- Collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed
- Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
- Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy
- Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms
- When necessary for safe provision of care, employee will provide one on one care to patients
Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- If working in North Dakota (ND) or Minnesota (MN) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the NA Registry as a Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Dept. of Health or through the Minnesota Dept. of Health within four months from the date of hire
- If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience
Pay
- Starting Rate: $18.00 - $24.00
- $2,000 SIGN ON BONUS!
