CNA MS/TCU, PRN Night Shift

About the role

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med/Surg and TCU Department. This position is PRN, nights, 12-hour shifts. Under the supervision of the Department of Nursing, this role performs receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit; serves as the focal communication source in the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians; and assists the staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit
• Act as the primary communication source at the nursing station, interacting with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians
• Assist staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span to assess patient status and provide age-specific care

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED, or equivalent
• Valid CNA License in the State of Indiana
• CPR certification
