About the role

The Restorative Nursing Assistant will provide residents with restorative/rehabilitative activities according to the treatment plan or Range of Motion (ROM) plan written by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech-Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with restorative/rehabilitative activities according to the treatment plan or ROM plan written by a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Perform functional tasks that maintain the orderliness of the nursing unit.
• Contribute to the effective overall functioning of the clinical area.

Requirements

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• 6 months as a nurse aide, nursing assistant or private care giver.
