CNA IPU PRN Day Shift - Hospice

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide
• Listed on the state aide registry with a clear record
• Able to deliver care to patients
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
• Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements or reliable transportation preferred

Schedule

• PRN (at least 2 shifts/month, preferably more)
• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Pay

Up to $26/hour (offer based on years of experience)

Responsibilities

• Works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal comfort needs at the unit.
• Responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.
• Performs personal care needs after given a patient’s assignment and attends to his/her requests promptly.
• Meets safety needs of patient and uses equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O₂, etc.).
• Provides personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linens as assigned.
• Reports on patient’s condition and significant changes, including awareness of the caregiver or other individuals visiting with the patient and interpersonal issues.
• Adheres to the organization’s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
