PRN CNA Care Center - Day shift

About the role

Suncoast Hospice, a part of Empath Health, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to provide exceptional care at their Care Center in Pinellas County.

Responsibilities

• Supports and carries out the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
• Performs only those personal care/home maintenance activities contained in a written assignment (Hospice Aide Plan of Care) by a health professional employee.
• Recognizes and reports unusual conditions, incidents or behavior of a patient and/or patient/family interaction to the patient’s nurse or supervisory nurse.
• Maintains utmost respect for confidentiality in care of the patient/family.

Requirements

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License (optional, only if colleague chooses driving herself/himself as mode of transportation when reassigned to work at another facility).
• One to Three Years of training and/or experience required.
• One year of experience in a long term care facility strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of hospice care practices and procedures.
