CNA Inpatient Rehab - FT Nights
About the role
Iberia Medical Center (IMC) in New Iberia, LA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for their Inpatient Rehabilitation unit, working full-time nights.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates respect for patients and families.
- Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Identifies patient and family education needs and collaborates with other disciplines to initiate education needs according to the age of the patients.
- Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center.
- Lives by the Iberia Medical Center Standards of Performance.
- Adheres to the Patient Safety Goals.
Education/Skills/Experience
- Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
- 1-year previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
- A high school diploma is preferred.
Training/Experience
- Previous experience preferred, but not required.

Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
