Responsibilities

• Assist in the care of hospital patients under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Adhere to all standards of nursing care and promote teamwork among coworkers.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, skin care, dressing, feeding, ambulating, transporting, and bed changing.
• Take and record vital signs and intake/outputs.
• Apply ice bags, Aqua K pads, and specialty appliances as directed.
• Complete or review patient care assignment worksheets within 30 minutes of shift change.
• Obtain and document vital signs as instructed per policy and nurse.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current Oklahoma Certified Nurse Aide license.
• BLS certification required prior to beginning orientation or working on a floor.
• Basic computer skills required.
• De-escalation (TEAM) training completed within 6 months of hire.
